I had the privilege of recently being featured on the Monerotopia podcast with Douglas Tuman, the mastermind behind XMR Bazaar.
We explore the differences between the MCEP and the MCEPm while also outlining tips to improve your marketplace listings.
Finally, I outline my personal views of Monero mass adoption.
My wife only recently realised that the reason behind her childhood losses in the board game Monopoly was due to her older sister always playing the banker and secretly stealing Monopoly money. By doing this, her sister was artificially inflating the money supply to her own personal advantage.
This, ironically, is how our banks and society operate. We assume that the economy is a fair free-for-all, but as long as money can be printed from nothing and put into the hands of private businesses (banks), then monopoly and centralisation of resources is inevitable.
You will always lose at this game.
Choose not to play.
I recently ran a small community Monero propaganda poster competition.
Reddit proves to be a poor platform to do something like this as you can’t include images in your comments without linking to a third-party site.
It was a fun test run and this image won:
Let me know if this is something you would be interested in participating in next time, I’d love to see this become an annual event with larger prizes and sponsors!
Images like these can be useful tools for letting friends and family know about Monero through social media.
As the idiom explains:
A picture is worth a thousand words
Unless it’s a picture on only one word, of course…
The mongoose has a special place in my heart. It is effectively the snake-killer, yet it looks like a cuddly little squirrel-bear-thing.
It’s an unsuspecting creature that snakes would overlook as their number one adversary.
If you ever see a mongoose attacking a snake, the strategy of attack is incredibly interesting.
The mongoose stays far away enough from the snake so as to not let it get away, yet also close enough so that the mongoose has an opportunity to counterstrike.
By effectivly maneuvering within this “dead zone”, the mongoose bides its time and strikes the snake with a single devastating blow once the adversary overextends and becomes vulnerable.
There is a vital life lesson in this little creature that we can all learn from.
Monero might have its day.
It’s about being at the right place at the right time with the right solution.
I also really appreciated your confidence in the Bible as forming your principles of the money system and ultimate hope for the future. When Jesus overturned the tables of the moneychangers he referred to them as thieves... amazing.
I enjoyed your slot on MoneroTopia. Great concept of voluntary pledge to drive confidence and adoption. Loved the t-shirt :)
